Lake Tahoe, where the heavens meet the mountains, where the mountains meet the waters.
da'aw'aga wa-siw 'itde' shemu, is the phrase the Washo use to encompass it all: It starts with the name: “Lake of the Sky.” It includes thankfulness and appreciation, strives toward lives together in harmony and balance with the waters and the land, the animals and sky. It is strong in acknowledgement of the sacred duty to nurture and protect this area and her inhabitants,
It is about worship and respect, for this place called Tahoe.
In the words of Art George, Jr., "When the Washeshu were brought to this sacred place, the land, the air, the animals, the water, all were in balance." And yet at Tahoe, and all across the world, things are not in balance.
Come together to get it back. Come together with us to love, to connect, to recharge lives and minds and hearts. Come, together, join your ways with ours awhile. Feel what we can do through balance of our own lives, through simple ways to tap our inner sources, through unified superconscious healing vision and focused energy together.
Feel what it will be like to go deeper into increasing manifestations of local and world healing.
The ancient sacred power of this place is palpable. The eye, the mind, the spirit, cannot leave the surroundings for long. The body feels dwarfed and enfolded by the great height and vista, the striking colors and forms--- Her waters, her mountains and valleys, her animals and people, her depths, her gentle meadows, her widening sky, the spirits of Tahoe invite you to come in peace.
